They used to tease Mike Poponea after the pharmacist and his wife, Lisa, opened a pharmacy in a grocery store, nearly unheard of at the time.
"I'd be talking to somebody and they'd ask me how many hotdogs I'd sold that day," Poponea says, laughing a little at the memory.
The couple announced last month that they had sold their business - Poponea's Pharmacy of Waterford - to the CVS drugstore next door
