Walgreen wants to be your friendly neighborhood pharmacy. Unless you’re an Ohio state employee told to get ongoing prescriptions through the mail. In that case, get lost.
After months of threatening to blacklist plans that make employees receive some drugs through the mail, Walgreen – the largest drugstore chain in the U.S. – came through on that threat Dec. 2. Its decision affects approximately 100,000 Ohioans and will take effect Jan. 1, 2005.
